The HAND Board proposes an update to the HAND bylaws. This update will be voted upon by the general members at the upcoming May 21 meeting.
There are three substantive changes:
- We’ve correctly defined our southern boundary (Powell Blvd.)
- We’ve changed who is considered a member of HAND, clarifying that a business can designate a single representative (in the past this was unclear), and eliminating the provision for government agencies to designate a representative (they never have, and probably never would)
- We’re changing the way our elections procedure is defined in order to remove some confusion from last year. The election process isn’t changing in practice, but the bylaws now define it much more clearly. We are continuing to review the bylaws, and will likely vote on another set of changes next year.
