October is National Crime Prevention Awareness Month, the official month for recognizing the practice of crime prevention, as well as promoting awareness of important issues such as victimization,volunteerism, and creating safer, more connected communities.
Last month there was an email sent out on the Abernethy Elementary parent email list alerting neighbors to a few burglaries or attempted burglaries in the area.
