BUDGET SHORTFALL FOR DIVISION STREET

— THE DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS IS NOON on MONDAY, DEC 1 —
We currently have a budget shortfall for the transportation improvements for Division Street due to rising paving and construction costs. We must resolve the funding issue so the City can complete the work as soon as possible to avoid reducing the scope of the project (and therefore reducing the potential benefit to the community). The City is seeking an additional $2.5 million in funding through the MTIP (Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program) process handled through METRO.

This is a competitive process so IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU LET METRO KNOW THAT SECURING ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR DIVISION STREET IS IMPORTANT TO YOU AND THE LARGER COMMUNITY. THE DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS IS NOON on Monday, DEC 1st. Even a very brief message of support would be very helpful!
