Things are starting to move again on our long held plans to develop an inner Southeast Community Center at the former Washington/Monroe High School site near SE 12th & Alder. The Parks Bureau is setting up a citizen advisory committee to guide the next phase of the project. All meetings will be open to the public. See below for details.

Individuals with experience in recreation program development, with financial backgrounds and with experience in assessing or mitigating community impacts are encouraged to apply.
P.S. Despite what the Parks Bureau press release indicates (see above link), the HAND neighborhood has been working on this project in concert with Buckman and other neighborhoods for a long time.
