Update on who to contact and how to stay updated on the Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail Project.

Sue Pearce, HAND neighborhood’s representative to the project’s Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC), has agreed to keep the neighborhood informed and to bring its feedback to the CAC and project staff.

Here is the link to past CAC meeting documents: http://www.trimet.org/pm/library/cac.htm. And here is the link to meeting dates/locations: http://www.trimet.org/pm/getinvolved/index.htm.

(Starting in June, the CAC will meet at St Phillip Neri’s Carvlin Hall in your neighborhood.)

This month, we don’t have much to report about train horn noise. There is a large coordination meeting planned for early June with technical staff from Union Pacific, ODOT Rail, FRA, PBOT, to start looking at potential safety measures at the crossings in your neighborhood. We hope to have more info in the weeks and months following this meeting.
