The Hosford-Abernethy Neighborhood Development Association (HAND) is in the midst of helping plan the Division/Clinton Street Fair scheduled for Saturday, July 24, 2010.

For the first time, this 18th Annual Street Fair is sponsored jointly by the Division/Clinton Business Association and our neighborhood association, HAND.

Hours of the event are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will span Division and Clinton streets from 12th-60th Ave. The day kicks off with a parade at 11 a.m. that will travel down Division from 50th to 20th and up Clinton to 26th.

HAND organizers are helping coordinate local entertainment and a stage for the “Seven Corners” portion of the neighborhood. Our neighborhood received a grant from Southeast Uplift to host this portion of the street fair, called “Roots of Our Neighborhood” that will have a focus on history and agriculture in our neighborhood over the last 100 years. We are currently looking for vendors, entertainment, local artists and others who would like to participate in this portion of the fair. Contact Amy Lewin (see below) for details!

The success of the street fair and this event is dependent upon its volunteers!

Help make this year’s street fair a success!
There are many ways to help.

Join other volunteers to put up balloons at businesses & vendor areas between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. on July 24th from 60th -12th on Division and 27th to 14th on Clinton. Register vendors, help staff the information booth, be in the parade, empty garbage boxes, or help clean up at 5 pm.
