Saturday, May 2, 2009
9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Cleveland High School parking lot (SE 26th, between Powell & Franklin)
Cost per load: $10 – $25
Bring yard debris, fences, mattresses, sofas and more to the Hosford-Abernethy Neighborhood (HAND) Cleanup, Saturday, May 2.
Save a drive to Metro while also helping raise money to improve our neighborhood. We accept most items that would normally go to the dump (bulky trash, yard debris, metal fences, non-recyclable junk).
WHAT WE CAN’T ACCEPT:
Please no hazardous materials such as paint, motor oil, florescent lights, microwaves or refrigerators (you will be turned away). This year we will not accept computers, TV’s and other e-waste (recycle these at Free Geek on SE 10th & Mill). Please no dirt or rocks.
Also, as a courtesy to your neighborhood volunteers, please contain your loads as much as possible.
SWAP AND SHOP!
This year we will continue our efforts to reuse and recycle! Join the HAND Green Team in reducing our neighborhood’s carbon footprint. Bring something useful, take something home. We will have a “free exchange†area at the cleanup where you can swap and shop!
