Hi Everyone,
A Portland Plan workshop will be coming to a location (somewhat) near you. Below is a list of dates and locations for the next phase of discussions that will help to create the Portland Plan. You’re welcome to attend any (or more than one) workshop. All workshops will follow the same format — an overview including some interesting (even surprising) facts about Portland as it is today as well as information about the challenges we’re facing as a city and a region.

There will be opportunities to learn more, engage in small group discussions and then vote on some key ideas in nine Action Areas (Civic Life, Neighborhoods and Housing, Economic Vitality, Educational Opportunity, Community Design, Arts and Culture, Environmental Health, Human Health, Connections and Access ) This process will build on the information collected during Vision PDX and previous community meetings last year. The closest workshop for Southeast residents is at Mt Scott Community Center on Saturday, December 5th.

Please share this information with your friends, neighbors and workplace colleagues as well as with other community groups and organizations. If you are part of a group that would like to host its own conversation on these issues, please see contact info for Marty Stockton listed below. Staff from the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability will help you to hold a Portland Plan discussion. More voices will mean a better plan.
Thank you.
Linda

The Portland Plan will be our City’s strategic plan for the next 25 years, ensuring that Portland is a thriving and sustainable city and our people are prosperous, healthy and educated. Residents are invited to these workshops to work together with the City and neighbors to discuss challenges, define priorities and guide investments for the future. All Portlanders are welcome, and we look forward to your input. Save the date — or more than one!
