This is to announce the March HAND Board Meeting on Tues March 10 at 7PM at St Philip Neri Church at 16th & Division. We meet in the administrative building on the NW corner of the parking lot — enter the door and turn right.
We’ve got a real mix of topics this month — we’ll get an update from Multnomah County on the relocation of their sobering/deflection center from its current location on Burnside to a site just west of the Goodwill on Grand, and we’ll be discussing ideas for how to repurpose the 1 block stub of SE Caruthers that runs between the MLK viaduct and dead ends at SE 7th. This isn’t a fully fleshed out project yet, but we’re exploring ideas for what we might prefer to see there than the derelict RVs that often set up there. We’ll be joined by someone from Depave to help us think through the possibilities. If you have your own ideas, please join us and share them, or send me a message.
