Below is just a small sampling of the “Colored Pencils” performances expected to join us for the street fair this Saturday, July 24 at the 7 Corners stage (1949 SE Division), from 2 – 4 p.m.:

Parfait Bassale – Originally from Benin, also living in Niger, Senegal, and then the U.S. “To hear Parfiat’s music is to hear genuine soul beats combining seamlessly with fresh cadenced melodies.”
Capoiera – Brazilian fusion between dance and martial arts.
Gary Higashi
Ronault “Polo” Catalani – Story teller extraordinaire. Originally Indonesian Polo came to Salem as an adolescent and now works for the City of Portland and is a community leader.
Gauri
Bollywood Dancers – 4 dancers dancing contemporary Indian film type dance.
– Alberto Moreno – Mexican born poet.
– Rekha’s Indian dance troupe – teen traditional dancers.
– Alice Sumida and Jess Oscilla – Japanese-American, 96 year old ballroom dancer, international competition winner.
– Jeff Strange and crew – Congo drum crew.
